The concept for Personally Paired was born when founder Jessica Stowe decided to combine her entrepreneurial spirit with her background in childcare, marketing and event planning. With years of experience in the childcare industry, Jessica often found it difficult to find the right positions with the hours and locations that best fit her schedule.
Like most nannies, she was spending endless amounts of time sorting through and replying to postings online. While on the playground with the children that she cared for, she would often get asked by frustrated parents if she could recommend a caregiver in the area.
Jessica then set out to create her company to solve the ongoing dilemma that both caregivers and parents have - how to find each other in a time efficient and neutral environment. With this idea as the foundation, Jessica developed Personally Paired.
Jessica currently resides in the Boston area with her husband.

Kristen Dietz – Charlotte Community Manager
After graduating from the University of Charlotte with a degree in Economics, Kristen discovered her true passion was working with children. Upon earning her Masters Degree in early childhood education, she taught elementary school for many years.
Kristen met many Charlotte mothers who faced difficulty in locating a caregiver. As a mother, she knew the importance of finding a nurturing caregiver who was also loving and reliable. She knew bringing Personally Paired to the Charlotte area would solve this dilemma. By combining her business degree and love for children, Personally Paired in the Queen City was established.
Kristen currently resides in the Charlotte area with her husband and their son Emmett.
Alex Thies – San Diego Community Manager
Alex's interest in childcare began at a young age when she would babysit other kids in the neighborhood and look after her younger cousins. Throughout her teenage years, she continued to babysit and spent a summer as a volunteer camp counselor. In high school, she started an organization at her school that connected other high school students with elementary school students to teach them about community service and participate in charitable acts around the community. Her love for children inspired her to study psychology in college with a focus on early childhood development.
Throughout her studies at Washington University in St. Louis, Alex participated in the Big Brother Big Sister program and started another organization that brought students to volunteer at animal shelters around the city. She also connected the students with faculty members with dogs to do pet therapy at local nursing homes. She continued to babysit and nanny for children of all ages throughout college and graduate school and was always asked by parents for her recommendations for other caregivers. She has seen the success of Personally Paired on the east coast and what a positive response it has gotten from parents with a variety of needs and is so excited to bring this amazing service to the west coast.
Alex resides in the San Diego area with her husband and their daughter Adelyn.
