Families Seeking Caregivers

Caregivers seeking opportunities

FAQ
Q: Why Personally Paired?

SAVE TIME, ENERGY AND MONEY
Personally Paired understands today's demanding schedules and the struggle to find quality childcare providers and jobs. Sorting through online postings and setting up individual interviews can be time consuming and fustrating. We know how easy it is to look good on paper. Attending a Personally Paired event gives parents the ability to connect face to face with up 15 pre-screened care providers. Caregivers get to interact with up to 15 families ready to hire. Our events are themed according to time commitments such as Occasional Care, Part Time Care and Full Time Care so you don't waste your time interacting with those who don't have the availability to meet your needs.

Another advantage of working with Personally Paired is that we never take a percentage of caregiver fees. We also believe the decision of what rates should be charged should be left up to you as the seeker and provider. This way, you have more flexibility to determine what is best for you.

We believe that giving you access to pre-qualified care providers helps to create balance in your lives. Whether you are looking for a date night out, some part time help or full time care let Personally Paired do the work for you. This way, you can follow up directly with those best fit for your family.

For Caregivers
Attending a Personally Paired event gives you peace of mind knowing that you will be connecting with parents who are ready to hire a caregiver tailored specific to your job requirements. When you attend an event, your resume and availability will be included in the Personally Paired Portfolio so parents can follow up directly with you.

Q: How do I decide which event is right for me?
To assist you with your needs, our events are organized by weekly hours needed. Please find a description of our event types on our Events page. We recommend that you attend events within a 25 minute drive from your home to get the best sample of care candidates or families for you. Additionally, we recommend that you attend events that are within a month from the date of your desired job start. If there is not an event date that works for you, please feel free to contact us. We would be happy to help you with your needs.

Q: Can I attend an event representing my agency, childcare center or service to recruit families or caregivers?
Our events are limited to parents and individual caregivers seeking to be Personally Paired.

Q: Can I bring a friend, my nannyshare partner or my children with me?
Due to limited space and availability, one parent ticket admits two people only. This is limited only to you and your spouse/significant other or one nannyshare partner. Additionally, one caregiver ticket admits one person only. To ensure that there are no distractions during the event, children are not permitted to attend.

Q: Do you pre-screen parents and caregivers?
Personally Paired does not conduct background checks on parents or caregivers. We do have requirements that we expect every sitter to meet before they are invited to attend one of our events. In addition, we contact the sitter's references.

It is the parents or sitters responsibility to follow up with references, conduct additional interviews and proceed with a background check.
Q: What are your cancellation policies?

Our parent cancellation policy is as follows:
Written cancellation requests received 72 hours or more before the event will be subject to a 30% processing fee. Parents who fail to attend without notifying us will incur a 75% processing fee. Your account will be credited via PayPal.

Our caregiver cancellation policy is as follows:
Caregivers who can no longer attend an event should notify us at least 7 days before the event date. Caregivers who fail to attend without notification will not be eligible to attend another event.

Q: Can I share my Personally Paired Portfolio with a friend?
To protect the confidentiality of our caregivers, you are not permitted to share the book with others. We always encourage you to tell your friends about our events and would be happy to assist them with their individual needs.

Q: How do I determine what sitter is best for my family?
We understand that every family is different and that is why we have created a service to assist you with connecting with caregivers that meet your needs. Attending a Personally Paired event is the first step to assist you in narrowing your search. After you attend the event, feel free to follow up with the caregivers that you are interested in. We also recommend that you check their references and conduct a background check. A full listing of recommended steps to finding a good fit is always included in the Personally Paired Portfolio.

Q: Do the caregivers drive and are they CPR/First Aid Certified?
Please refer to your Personally Paired Portfolio to determine whether a care provider drives or is CPR/First Aid Certified as this varies on a case by case basis. We would be more than happy to provide you with options on places that offer training and certifications.

Q: Can I attend an event without registering online?
Due to limited space and availability, you must register online in order to attend an event. We cannot accept payments the day of the event. The parent registration process is integrated through PayPal. If you are having problems registering, please feel free to contact us.
